I am a terrible citizen

I must be since I have no plan at all to watch the State of the Union address. The last one was so bad, not that I watched it either, that I plan on watching a movie with my kids, sending them to bed, and then watching more episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer while working on my mom's very late Christmas present. I may keep up with what's happening by reading Ann Althouse's liveblog, but that's as close as I plan on getting.

    If Bufffy had been on at the same time as SOTU, I might have been sorely tempted to do the same. That has little to do with citizenship and everything to do with attitude towards - one, current deeply disingenuous and incompetent President, and two, the scooby gang.

    I actually ended up letting my son stay up and watch me play DDO (Dungeons and Dragons Online). Buffy is on whenever I say it is due to the magic wonderfullness that is Netflix instant view. I generally watch current shows on Hulu so I've gotten very spoiled about paying no attention at all to the TV schedule.
